1. I believe there were many but the roots of this project were mainly around the fact that these kids had no voice, when it came to their social or political issues, not many were being heard. The purpose of the project was to shine light on these issues and to clear up the image that was being painted by the media about who these kids were.
2. This project helped to highlight the fact that these kids were being portrayed as criminals by the media, by one students actions, all would pay unfairly.
3. The medium was when the students created an immersive group that would help filter any issue they were facing, whether it be at home or at school.
4. The teachers, faculty and especially the students from Oakland HS.
5. I believe this project was conceived for those that have any misinterpretation of the students and in general, any individual of color.
6. The audience members being the faculty, parents, people from the board and community members, sat and heard the work of the students. The students had the opportunity to speak for themselves and convey their message through art.
7. The projects ultimate goals was to give these individuals a voice in which they could express and attend to issues at hand. Mainly to speak about the way they were being depicted among the media.
8. The value of this project was to understand in a sense, how these students perceive todays world. With them being the ones who face the consequences of the generation before, many don't seem or can't seem to speak up about their current situation, whether it be political or not.
9. The students and audience members.
10. This project helped she light on a social issue, providing a voice for these teenagers who have been held against something they didn't commit. This project also helped these teenagers speak up about changes that need to happen, whether it be a personal experience or something they witnessed.
