Theater of the oppressed:

   





       Throughout the reading, I noticed that the typical fourth wall as we call it in the theater is broken

by asking the audience members for their opinion, as well as inviting them to the stage to interact

with the audience and be a part of the play in general. When the actors interact with the audience it

can be risky, the actor is risking either good or bad response from the audience member (usually not)


The way symbolism was represented served as a reminder that some symbols are interpreted as

something else in another country/state. Even gestures can sometimes signify or represent something

else.
